Save the Children

Save the Children‘s mission is to make lasting, positive change in the lives of disadvantaged children. It was founded in the U.S. in 1932, and remains the only anti-poverty group of its size that does not have any political or religous affiliations. Save the Children field staff provide education, nutrition and healthcare through community-based programs in 137 countries and, for 2008, put 94% of all expenditures toward program services. Grassroots Campaigns canvassers working in 18 cities nationwide, have recruited caring people to sponsor children since 2007.
